The only people still thinking Britney is writing/singing about Justin on anything post 'In The Zone' are fans that live to compare her current work to nostalgic memories in her career.

 

Justin ****** her up... 14 years ago. The only person still hung up on their ex in this scenario is Justin. And we can discuss otherwise when she releases MULTIPLE songs about him over the span of multiple eras, or when she throws him under the bus dozens of times to the press, or if she mocks a difficult time in his life on SNL or a magazine shoot "oh hey pic of JT shaving his head in 2007 next to an inset of him saying he doesn't think about her or care about her situation.

 

Britney is well aware of the POS he is, she is just aware that feeding into those things was giving him exactly what he was after... Fame & attention.

I certainly thought so when I heard it. And there have been blindes (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/574820-Britney-Spears-and-Justin-Timberlake-Thread-Stinky-and-Pinky-Edition/page14) that they've met up recently which makes this lyric make sense:

"Closer to you, closer to pain It's better than far away"

Let's see who has writing credits. If Britney then I say for sure we're right. His last album had all nice songs about her and he didn't get any press attention from that, if there's something going on between them why wouldn't she write about it.
