Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, I haven't had time to sift through all the comments on each thread.

Is it possible that her team is planning on releasing the video, and that they want all this press and attention? They could be waiting for all the press and the attention to peak and then when it dies down they release the video and then people are talking about it again. It could actually be a great strategy.

Well, every other team out there would do that!  But no team Britney. It's a great idea actually... It would help the song a little bit more! 

 

The unrealised video isn't finished yet.. you can see in the footage that the TV has green dots, and when the TV is under the water the image of her dancing is just there... it doesn't fit... so, I hope leak at least like that

One can hope. I understand the idea of her team ignoring or not addressing rumors or personal issues, but not addressing something like this makes her look bad.

Let's be realistic, it won't happen and it definitely wasn't planned  Watch them completely ignoring us like nothing happened, as always

I don't think they coudl've predicted such a big fuss to be created. Let's not forget that there were mv that were scrapped before. GM. Perfume. And they got away with it. The fanbase had some meltdowns for some days but then got over it. But now they don't want to swallow another original concept of a mv being scrapped.

So I do not think it was part of the plan. I think they just thought they'd get away with it. 

And btw, who would have predicted a petition?
