Michaelgiftos
I love both I went to Britney on the FFT and plan to go to POM next year and went to Rihanna on the Diamonds Tour and Anti Tour. They're both great singers and performers but I think it's hard to compare the two Rihanna's stronger vocally but she could never dance like Brit Link to comment
IconicShow
I agree about Rihanna's dancing, Link to comment
Austin00chase
Britney has memorable performances. The only Rihanna performance I remember is the S&M one... with Britney. But I'm sure other fanbases think that their favs performances are memorable too. Little do they know... Link to comment

BoyToySoldier
"Rihanna's latest album Anti just got certified double platinum in May" These certifications aren't taken seriously when they're not only streaming numbers but also 1M albums bought by Samsung. Link to comment

Starburst
I see Britney more of an album seller and Rihanna a singles seller. Either way I like Rihanna but Britney is a legend Link to comment
Allmylife
Rihanna is this generations icon but that doesn't make Britney any less of a legend Link to comment
DJSLAYZEE
Must we have two fabulous women slaying compete.... And asking it on a Britney site Army and Navy are cool with each other. Rihanna gives me a lot of Britney similarities though. She's like the island Britney Link to comment

Our home girl sold how many albums last era? She's not there with album sales but everything else awards and records wise, she's getting up there, if not already surpassed her. She doesn't have to stop. She can be like Cher and amount to over 50 albums if she wants, she's eventually going to peak though. And then start to flop. And what's she going to have to show for it? Her singles collection and that's that. No influence, No iconography, nada. Link to comment

A fashion icon too. She was supposed to start flopping this year, that's what everyone said including you She did flop though lol but she's such a carefree artist that people don't care and neither does she Link to comment
Anti-Hero
Sure Rihanna has 14 #1 singles, but Umbrella is really the only one that stands the rest of time. She'll never touch Toxic and BOMT Link to comment

I mean what major female pop star recently successfully incorporates reggae and dancehall then goes back to R&B and EDM. Streaming does inflate her stats though. She'll be like our Grace Jones mostly cause of fashion and photo shoots There can be different kinds of legends but she's an icon and time will tell. Link to comment

Britney incorporated reggae back in 2003 with The Hook Up. Beyonce did it in 2003 with Baby Boy. She has 0 influence. She's a trendy radio darling. Link to comment
ToxicJean
But still not written on the media... They called Britney, LEGENDARY & ICONIC. Link to comment

Has she ever brought in a new trend in music? No. And she DID FLOP. Her album sales without the Samsung payola and the streaming numbers of her two hit ringtone singles are tragic. Oh but she's a "fashion" icon because she has people that dress her. Link to comment
Pikapi
She has a lot #1 songs, like Katy but not iconic enough to be remembered 20 years later Madonna, Michael and Britney are the only artists who have changed the landscape of pop music. Gaga is close enough but she failed during ARTPOP era. Link to comment
