I feel like we should talk about it. The truth is that there's too many TV shows where gay and bi guys are so feminine. And it's honestly annoying, dangerous and toxic as it puts whole community in that light. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a guy and being a feminine, it's just people that because of this think every gay, bi guy is like this. Also nothing wrong with having characters like that in a TV show but it's not okay when it's that one stereotypical type of gays in every show. We all know that there're gay, bi guys that are feminine but for sure there's much more guys that act, look ''straight'', ''masculine'' all the time. They just don't belong to that specific ''gay culture'' in some type of way. Because of that feminine stereotypical gay guy, it's harder for not-straight guys to come out, toxic masculinity is becoming stronger because of this. So, put more masculine gay and bi guys in your TV shows. Btw the stereotype that in a gay relationship there have to be ''more masculine guy'' and ''more feminine guy'' is wrong and toxic as well.

I’ve wrote a new song called Give It To Me Like You Mean It and it’s the first time I’ve sang about having attraction for a guy. I think it’s time to normalise guys singing about guys in pop music and I’d love be a part of that movement. Please check out my demo song. If you like my song please check out my channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL7p_OSUKse6G97DgTsDvwg because I have 8 original songs.

Serbia is a country in South-Eastern Europe, and although we have an openly lesbian Prime Minister, we still didn't legalize same *** partnerships. Well, this is about to change in 3 months as Serbia has declared it wil llegalize the unions this summer. This law won't have a referendum because according to Serbian constitution, the rights of minorities cannot be decided by a majority (which makes referendum in this case illegal). Let's all join hands and congratulate Serbia for taking a huge step ahead, especially in times when countries such as Hungary and Poland are looking to revert their gay laws Many countries in Europe still don't offer protection to their gay citizens and a civil union is still just a dream, hopefully, super conservative countries surrounding Serbia will now be inclined to do the same. In this part of Europe, only Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro have recognized civil union or gay marriage. Many countries still refuse doing it. Additionally, Serbia is already drafting a low to allow adoption for gay couples which should be legalized in two years max A part of Serbian population is naturally very pissed off because they are homophobic swines, but our Minister of Human and Minorities Rights sent them a wonderful message: "To all those who oppose the law, I can only say -- if you don't like same-*** partnerships, don't live in one," Minister of Human and Minority Rights Gordana Comic, who has championed the law, told AFP. Unbothered queen. Source

In 2000, a groundbreaking show aired on showtime called queer as folk. The show aged badly, from their views on straight men, several conversations put good people as the people who bully them. As Group leader Brian Kinney said. "They're all the same, they pretend to be your friends, and behind your back they show their true colors". Even Justin who was gay bashed refused to forgive the person who did it, though it was wrong. The guy said, you kept flaunting it, it made a lot of us mad and uncomfortable and you bringing your boyfriend to the prom was just the final straw. I know you can't help it, but it's not about you. You guys don't understand that a time and place for everything.. Keep it to yourself at school, everything would be fine. Justin even told his teacher, I'm that F. You love to hate ,so f u. The whole show is problematic . Even how they handled drug addiction. Emmett told his friend Ted, you say you're gonna fix yourself, but you know you dont believe in yourself, so you won't seek the help you absolutely need. To even having the one gay seeking his forever prince charming, from the mom that adopts everybody and is way too in the hag status. It represents the older community, and unfortunately it's the only show that actually portrayed the gay community accurately even if this community actually aged badly In real representations as well.. Here's a 16 minute video of the first season. There was also no blacks represented and the lesbian couple felt very token and not appreciated. The L word was a better representation.

https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2021/02/17/us-equality-act-vote-house-of-representatives/ The Equality Act would amend existing civil rights legislation to bar discrimination based on gender identification and ***ual orientation (Getty/Tom Williams) Democrats in the House of Representatives are to revive the Equality Act next week, in a bid to break the impasse over bill to protect LGBT+ people in all 50 states. The bill would amend existing Civil Rights Act provisions barring discrimination based on race and *** to also add specific protections for ***ual orientation and gender identity. Republicans have stood in the way of the measure and predecessor bills for more than two decades. While the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives passed the Equality Act in 2019 by a vote of 236-173, it was never even brought for a vote in the then-Republican controlled Senate. However, with Democrats now in control of the House, Senate and presidency for the first time in a decade, efforts to pass the bill are being stepped up in line with Joe Biden‘s promise to make it a priority in his first 100 days.

Demi Lovato opens up about her experience being part of the LGBTQ community. "When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am," the singer explained. "This past year I was engaged to a man, and when it didn’t work, I was like, this is a huge sign. I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth." I hooked up with a girl and was like, ‘I like this a lot more.’ It felt better. It felt right," she told the outlet. "Some of the guys I was hanging out with—when it would come time to be ***ual or intimate, I would have this kind of visceral reaction. Like, ‘I just don’t want to put my mouth there.’ It wasn’t even based on the person it was with. I just found myself really appreciating the friendships of those people more than the romance, and I didn’t want the romance from anybody of the opposite s**." "I know who I am and what I am, but I’m just waiting until a specific timeline to come out to the world as what I am," Lovato explained. "I’m following my healers’ timeline, and I’m using this time to really study and educate myself on my journey and what I’m preparing to do." Happy for her that she's becoming more comfortable with herself. Thoughts, Exhale? Please don't use this as an opportunity to drag her! Thanks. 🙏 Related:

The fact this guy, basically said I'm super straight and will only date real women, if that's not transphobic, than I don't know what is. Newsflash, if they have that surgery, most don't, but some actually do like the surgery, you wouldn't even know that they used to be a man. Jazz Jennings is a prime example of this case, if I didn't know her background, I would have thought she was a girl.

so basically this discussion was brought to my attention by the thread and argument under this tweet basically people are arguing about whether it's okay for Doja Cat to have used the word f-ggot because she is bisexual. a lot of people are saying that the f slur should only be used by gay and bisexual men, as historically it has been used to target homosexual men specifically. Some bi women and lesbians in the thread however disagree, saying that since the word has been used against them, they have the right to reclaim it. I personally don't think it feels right for lesbians and bi women to use it, that word has such a strong connotation to me and historical use that has always targeted males in the community (and transgender and nonbinary people too). I wouldn't feel comfortable using the word d-ke either. Sure you can make argument that people who have been a victim of a slur personally in their lives have a right to reclaim it, but i don't think that argument holds up. A lot of non-black POC have been called the n-word in their lives, but they shouldn't say the n-word. If me, a neurotypical person, grew up being bullied and called r--tard, do i have a pass for the rest of my life to use the r slur? what do you guys think? Bonus question: How do you feel about bisexuals calling themselves gay? of course they're part of the LGBT community but to me it just feels weird to use the word gay, like do gay people not get their own word? saying you're bi is shorter and more accurate of a description, so why not just say that? it just feels strange to me because the experiences of the two can be so different and doesn't make sense for them to be conflated. For example, I have a female bi friend who has only publicly dated men, and her calling herself gay.. just feels.. wrong. Like it's appropriative, her experience does not align at all with the experiences of lesbians and gay men, so calling yourself gay doesn't seem to make sense. anyways, i hope we can have a civil discussion about this and i'd like to hear all of your thoughts!
