  1. Billboard announced that Friday was the beginning of Facebook launching music videos channels dedicated to all official acts with a blue mark, many speculate the way the labels didn't hesitate to sign deals with Facebook, the way they were with Spotify, is a sign. That if Facebook decides one day to open it's own audio streaming service. Given how globally Facebook has close to a billion daily active user's, It could very much Kill Spotify as anybody with a Facebook account is already granted Access to the streaming service. Music industry is starting to think I'd Mark Zuckerberg really wants to rule the whole social media world. An audio streaming service would be the nail on the coffin, might not for apple music. But it would kill tidal and Spotify fast. https://www.facebook.com/spicegirls.officialmusic/videos/744795296255641/?d=null&vh=e Here's Spice girls holler from their official Facebook music video channel. @Jordan Miller I really do see Mark doing this. It would be that last obstacle for him to conquer.
  2. I have no idea if this would be considered a conflict of interest, probably not? but it's definitely a weird crossover. also it's worth noting that James Jolly who i suspect is one of Sam's managers, started working for Anonymous Content as of april 2022 while the statement referenced that Rosengart released was around october 2021. This was over a book being turned into a show. the book: An Ugly Truth covers how Facebook, while connecting us, is also mishandling data, amplifying fake news, and spreading hate speech. It's impressively researched, well written and gives an objective point of view. rosengarts statement: {According to Deadline, Mathew Rosengart, the same lawyer who helped free Spears from her conservatorship, sent a letter to Anonymous Content CEO Dawn Olmstead, detailing the legal action Facebook might take if any false statements or exaggerations about the company appear in the show. “FACEBOOK WILL TAKE ALL APPROPRIATE LEGAL ACTION” As stated in the letter obtained by Deadline, Rosengart says that “the First Amendment does not protect knowingly false statements or portrayals — or those made with reckless disregard for the truth — even about public figures.” He then goes on to attack the accuracy of An Ugly Truth, noting that it’s “replete with false and defamatory statements, characterizations, and implications about Facebook and its leadership.” If Anonymous Content decides to put any of these so-called falsities in its television adaption, Rosengart says that “Facebook will take all appropriate legal action.” To our knowledge, Facebook hasn’t taken legal action against the authors or publisher of An Ugly Truth. Rosengart even mentioned that Facebook is willing to work with Anonymous Content to ensure that the series is “accurate and truthful.” As for whether Anonymous Content will consider getting Facebook’s input, that’s still up in the air. The Verge reached out to Anonymous Content for a statement and hasn’t heard back.} The book was picked up by HBO to be made into a limited series so i'm guessing facebook has someone working on the set as they suggested. Sources: https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/25/22745525/facebook-britney-spears-lawyer-doomsday-machine https://www.anonymouscontent.com/management/ https://hypebeast.com/2022/2/doomsday-machine-facebook-limited-series-hbo https://www.instagram.com/samasghari/?hl=en (Sam's bio) lol gonna use this silly gif since schitts creek is produced by anonymous content. tldr: facebook hired rosengart to possibly sue anonymous content which sam is partnered with.james jolly who is a manager at anonymous content is sam's manager. the statement from rosengart was from 2021 oct. but james jolly wasn't working with anonymous content until april 2022. it's just a weird crossover
  3. Update: Facebook is changing their name to Meta. Via The Verge: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday at the company’s Connect event that the company’s new name will be Meta. “We are a company that builds technology to connect,” Zuckerberg said. “Together, we can finally put people at the center of our technology. And together, we can unlock a massively bigger creator economy.” “To reflect who we are and what we hope to build,” he added. He said the name Facebook doesn’t fully encompass everything the company does now, and is still closely linked to one product. “But over time, I hope we are seen as a metaverse company.” Earlier: Facebook has the web talking about a name change “ The Verge” ..having metaverse plans . What do you think? I called it Fakebook and left many years ago. Will you stay ..Do you think a possible name change is the right thing to do ?
  4. So last year most of her music videos were uploaded to her official Facebook page, like many other artists, with some videos being uploaded just a few weeks ago, like Piece of Me and Overprotected. Today I was checking the views, and though obviously they're much lower than YouTube, I found it curious that the ranking of the most watched videos is different than that from her VEVO channel. Make Me..., of all videos, is the most watched with 8.4 million views With Break the Ice (47k) and Kill the Lights (21.9k) being at the bottom from her official videos, but notice the positions of other videos like Till the World Ends, Scream & Shout, Hold It Against Me, etc, all of those videos that have lots of views on YouTube aren't necessarily reflected here. Similarly, videos like the Apple Festival performances, the Making the video of Circus, Scream & Shout (Remix) even Boys or DANCE Till the World Ends, are higher than other popular videos. Here's the list from most watched to least watched: Make Me... ft. G-Eazy - 8.4M Sometimes - 6.5M Pretty Girls - 5.8M Womanizer (Director's Cut) - 5.4M Work ***** (Apple Music Festival) - 5.2M Lucky - 5.1M Everytime - 4.7M Oops!... I Did It Again (Apple Music Festival) - 3.5M Scream & Shout (Remix) - 3.3M ...Baby One More Time - 3.1M (You Drive Me) Crazy - 2.5M Overprotected - 2.2M I'm a Slave 4 U - 1.9M Toxic - 1.7M If U Seek Amy (Apple Music Festival) - 1.6M I Wanna Go - 1.6M If U Seek Amy - 1.6M I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman - 1.5M I Love Rock 'N' Roll - 1.4M Oops!... I Did It Again - 1.3M Toxic (Apple Music Festival) - 1.1M Circus - 1.1M Boys - 969k Circus (Making the Video) - 728.2k Criminal - 687.2k Work ***** - 642k Piece of Me (Artist Version) - 599.2k Swimming in the Stars (Visualizer)- 592.9k Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know - 522.4k Slumber Party ft. Tinashe - 498.9k Stronger - 470.2k Me Against the Music ft. 5. We have all seen it over the past year - Facebook adding disclaimers to anything mentioning the pandemic or related topics. Well, a friend of mine runs a dog rescue and posted some videos of her feeding the puppies and was just discussing how cute they are. I noticed that Facebook added a "disclaimer" to the videos and I asked her why. Well, when I watched the video, I noticed that in the background, underneath my friend talking about the puppy, the news was playing and they were discussing the vax. HOW CRAZY IS THAT? Facebook tech not only skims the text to find mention of the virus but now AUDIO, and in this case BACKGROUND AUDIO! How do you feel about this? How are they profiting from this?
