I jam to this every so often

For those who have 4 minutes to kill, this is a somewhat sarcastic "rant" I posted on Facebook back in 2009 when I was 19 after I got back from the Circus show. I may regret posting this, but I figured since it's the anniversary, why not? I also have met other Britney fans in person since then 😭 I remember the comparisons even then how she wasn't performing up to her previous tours, but I have nothing but nostalgia for this time now. The stage in the center was a unique concept and Britney did seem to enjoy herself performing, especially IYSA and Get Naked. It was a true comeback show

This reminds me when I made my dad listen to "Shadow" to show Britney's "artistic side" and vocal abilities . I don't think it worked. Your dad seems pretty open to music In addition to a Greatest Hits play, you mentioned he's Christian, so he may enjoy some of tracks from Britney Jean, no lie

I'll raise you Be Good To Me Kind of random, but the redemption song Knock You Down by Keri Hilson came on my shuffle last night. I recently found out Danja produced it and I thought that it could have been an great single for Britney during the Circus era.

Honestly, I don't think she would be capable of such a responsibility, as nice as it would be I think Fe and Britney jived well together and I do not doubt Fe was on top of Britney regarding getting her from point A to point B. But if a conservatorship must be in place, it wouldn't make sense to have a friend head it. Not only do I think that's how a judge would see it, but if Fe accepted the role, she may need to put her foot down and say "no" to Britney from time to time on matters regarding finance and travel. And I just don't see her doing that or even be comfortable doing that in the first place lol That may be why Fe didn't return as Britney's assistant after the conservatorship was put into place, as she inferred in the documentary I don't think Fe was a bad influence, there was so much responsibility she had while working for Britney. She wasn't in charge of where Britney went and who she saw, which seemed to have been one of the biggest concerns during the implementation of the conservatorship

My fave is Britney What's funny is that during Britney's hiatus, I tried to find another girl to stan. I may turn this into another thread some day, but my top two were Kathrine McPhee and the great Ashley Tisdale. If Britney never existed, it'd probably be Madonna. I started getting into her around the time I was getting into Britney. I had her "Music" album. Granted, I wasn't "obsessed", but if Britney wasn't there, my interest in Madonna probably would have blossomed. Also, it didn't hurt that some of my earliest memories are listening to songs from the Immaculate Collection, thanks to my aunt Later that year, I also got into Jennifer Lopez. I remember liking her style and dancing from the JLo and her remix album.

If she would be up for doing Britney Jean like promo, as well as working with Max Martin again, there's no question in my mind she could at least have another hit single, as well as a moderately successful album

I only saw Katy and Gaga's performance after I must say, Gaga's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was great The "...that the flag ...was ....still...theeeere!!" part where she turned, lifting her arm up was just.. A true theatrical performance

She's a great comedic actress and I think could have been successful if she went into that realm during her music hiatus. Even if she had the capacity, I doubt most would have accepted her in a high budget dramatic role, unfortunately She actually could still act. She spoke about her admiration of Goldie Hawn and I can honestly see her in an "Overboard" remake. That would be hilarious

Honestly, Britney wasn't in a good place at the time the conservatorship was set. Her brother recently explained in that interview that from the time she was 16, she had a lot of aspects of her life taken care of for her by her business and he made the point that if that guidence is taken away, will she be able to handle it all herself? When she cut ties with her management and family after filing for divorce in 07, that was put to the test, and look what happened. She was "free", but was (unsurprisingly) easily manipulated by people who did not have her best interest in mind. There is a mountain of video evidence online from that time of her acting abnormally, all while sam lufti and company put on a happy face for the cameras. It be one thing if she was a single girl, but she was a mother of 2 babies going through a custody battle. Whether she was angry, rebelling or not, that should have been her top priority. Acting in the way she did in front of paparazzi did not help her case. Personally, I don't think the family had much of a choice and might have feared they were going to lose their daughter. People forget how bad it was. Even though it's been 10+ years, I can see why there is reluctance to let her go and I believe there is more at play then the what the campaign highlights as financial pay offs people who work for the conservatorship recieve, which is probably a fraction of the amount of money that go to the people that work for her and her "industry". Do I think Britney should be "free"? It was only relatively recently that this was addressed and questioned. Based on the past, I think the courts should allow a probationary period where she can prove she can make sound decisions and take care of herself. What those stipulations are I don't know and people will probably rag on me for that. But I think if anything's there needs to be a transitionary period, not a day in court that releases her. Yeah, I want her to be happy, but based on the past and tbh how she acts now in her videos (and please, compare her videos to a sibling or relative in their 30s posting like that on social media), if I was in her family, I'd be vigilant

It would have been cool if Britney followed in Shania's footsteps, musically and stylistically, as she matured

It doesn't need to be "widespread", just in the largest or large cities in a few swing states.
