Surprised there's no thread for this? Lizzo released her fourth studio album (second major-label album) Special today, featuring the hit single About Damn Time. It's a nice album, I feel like there's a few songs that need to grow on me but it's pretty cohesive. I do wish the album wasn't so short but that's streaming for ya 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready) (AMAZING), the title track, Everybody's Gay and Birthday Girl are all BAWPS, hopefully 2 Be Loved is the next single. Coldplay is a nice song too which uses a sample of the band's single Yellow. Anyone else listening to this album?

Per Deadline : Lizzo has heard the cry of her fans and is ready to change the lyrics to her hit single “GRRRLS.” Today, Lizzo announced via social media that she’s going to release a new version of the song GRRRLS to remove an ableist slur “sp*z” featured in the previous version. “It’s been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song ‘GRRRLS,'” she shared in a Twitter post. “Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language. As a fat Black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I overstand the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally,)” she continued. “I’m proud to say there’s a new version of GRRRLS with a lyric change. This is the result of me listening and taking action. As an influential artist I’m dedicated to being part of the change I’ve been waiting to see in the world.” The lyrics go: “Hold my bag, b***h, hold my bag Do you see this s**t? I’ma sp**z.” People were quick to address the lyrics as one Twitter user addressed and explained why the word is hurtful to the disability and mental illness community. The musician received a deluge of criticism of the lyrics causing her to announce the decision to change the lyrics. Lizzo’s album Special drops July 15, and first single, “About Damn Time” is already a top 10 hit.

Lizzo recently released a new single "Rumors" with Cardi B. In order to boost sales, she sold a large number of signed CD singles on her website. However, when fans received the supposedly signed CDs, they were disappointed as they were merely a piece of tape on the CD itself, instead of Lizzo actually signing the CD booklet. Coincidentally, Cardi B, who is also featured on 'Rumors', also has a history of selling 'autopen' signed CDs to boost sales. 'Autopen' means signing through machine instead of hand-signing. Cardi sold a lot of 'signed' vinyls and CDs of "WAP" last year. However, all of the signatures looked identical on the products. Both Cardi B and Lizzo are Atlantic artists.

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. The Internet roasted Lizzo for participating in a 10-day detox cleanse. Some people feel like she was a symbol for larger people to celebrate their size, but she's now shedding herself of that identity and the worldwide web wasn't happy about it. Before you read a few of the Tweets aimed at Lizzo, here's what she had to say about the ordeal: Lizzo said she'd usually feel "afraid and ashamed" to share something like a detox "because I feel like as a big girl, people expect if you are doing something for health, you’re doing it for a dramatic weight loss, and that is not the case." "In reality, November stressed me the f--- out," she continued. "I drank a lot, I ate a lot of spicy things and things that f---ed my stomach up. I wanted to reverse it and get back to where I was. I’m so proud of myself. I’m proud of my results. My sleep has improved, my hydration, my inner peace, my mental stability, my f---ing body, my f---ing skin, the whites of my eyes, I feel and look like a bad b--- — and that’s it." "I’m a big girl who did a smoothie detox and I wanted to share it with you guys," she concluded, before adding, "And every big girl should do whatever the f--- they want with their bodies.” Thoughts, Exhale? Is it lame that Lizzo did this cleanse? Or does she make a point? Sound off.

Lizzo is showing off her body for the start of 2021 and I would like to ask you a question on why she had to do it this way. We all know Lizzo is being scrutinized by the media and the people from the internet of showing too much skin because of her weight. Do you think it’s a publicity stunt and she’s doing this just to let people know that she doesn’t care of their opinion or she truly loves her body? Related:
